The Alpha QX youth hockey shin pads have a traditional, thoroughly ribbed shin shell and knee cap for excellent impact deflection capabilities. The interior medium-density foam is extended on the exterior side of the leg and has doubly-thick mid-density foam in the calf wrap for better protection from errant pucks and sticks. The Alpha QX youth hockey shin guard liner is still fully removable for ease of washing/drying and it is fastened to the young player's leg with a single elastic strap around the calf.
